orphans and epileptics in Teze-Ngie, Cameroon.

services programme yesterday.Also
you have the pictures of the ASODI's Orphans doing
tailoring in Ngie and pictures of the Orphans that
have been attached still under the catholic Relive programme
in Hair dressing.

Dear All,
Greetings to you all.
Following our collaboration with the
sisters servents of Mary Widikum,a
team of surgeons from the USA headed by Dr.Castillo
will be carrying out surgery on Keliods,goitre etc
at the Catholic health centre Widikum from Monday
May 14th to 28th of May 2007.All the disables of ASODI in Momo
who have these types of diseases will be operated upon free of charge.So far we have 14 of them for this operation.l shall be accompanying them as from the said
Monday to Widikum.Photographs shall be brought to
you then.
Meanwhile, ASODI over the weekend
was admitted into the international league Against Epilepsy whose headquarter
is in Europe.this comes after serious toling with these people and writing for one year.The Cameroon's branch of the said group will be
implanted soon after the structuring which is currently taking place.This is headed by Mr. Maurice Tuimbii
in Yaounde.ASODI is therefore one of the pioneer Members.The ILAE Cameroon shall work with the rest of
ILAE World over to mitigate Epilepsy in Cameroon and experts,Skills and financial assistance shall be
the major activties.
Indeed God is facilitating and aiding our

......and lastly, here's a Phenobarbital/
training update....
Dear all,
I am delighted to write you people. Following the
recent distribution of Phenobarbital drugs to Epileptic patients in Momo, here is an update.
In march, 500 epileptic patients
received drugs 3o tablets each in Teze and Andek on the 7th 2007. In Njikwa
35 epileptic patients from 7 vilages in Njikwa Subdivision received 30 tblets
each on the 29 and 30th of April. This was done from village to Village by
the ASODI'S team trecking.
In Mbengwi 50
patients received 30 tablets each from 1st to 25 of April 2007. This was for
part of the 25 villages that make up Mbengwi
central subdivision.
Meanwhile, 500 of the patients in
Ngie received the same 30 tablets of drugs from
ASODI at Teze and Andek
centers on the 23rd of April 2007.
In Widikum
Subdivision, 150 Epileptic patients received 30 tablets of Phenobarbital on
the 3rd and 4th of may from the ASODI'S Team. We could not send pictures
because this is our first time to penetrate these other 4 subdivisions in Momo Division. It was so tedious to do this exercise and
we hope to do it monthly. Pictures shall be available in June. The Rev.
Sisters of Widikum Catholic health center are
helping us to mobilise the patients in Widikum Headed by Sister Pilar.
Meanwhile, the 152 orphans for the
Catholic Relieve services have been finaly
submitted by ASODI. 8 of the orphans who shall be trained in Vocational
Training shall start on the 11th of May 2007. AT this ceremony, all their
fees for the training shall be paid by CRS through ASODI on the said 11 of
May 2007. The 8 orphans comprises of 4 boys and 4 girls. The male orphans shall be trained in Carpentery at
Teze, while the 4 female orphans shall be
trained in Hair dressing at Andek.
In addition, 18 of the 152 orphans
shall be handed full school uniforms on the 11 of the May by CRS and ASODI.
This is in a bit to start the collaboration with CRS.
Pictures, names and other details of
all these shall be sent after the 11th of May
2007.
