Dear Sponsors,
First of all, thank you so much for being a
part of our orphan sponsorship program! The orphans of Teze-Ngie are getting the
supplies they need to better their lives because of generous sponsors like
you!
The Hearts for Cameroon Committee at St. John's (www.heartsforcameroon.org) has
decided to start sending out monthly emails to sponsors updating everyone on
the progress of our sponsorship program, reminding people to write out those
monthly donations and to write letters to your sponsored child. So, here
goes.....
UPDATE:
As you recall, our donations go to ASODI (www.asodi.org), the organization that helps
orphans and epileptics in Teze-Ngie,
Cameroon. Our
last quarterly donation of $1,500 helped with many things: they were able to
purchase books for orphan school children, Phenobarb (medicine for epileptic
orphans) and materials for orphans becoming tailoring trainees. Over 625
orphans were assisted!
Here is a message from ASODI's president Ambanibe
Jerome Akeneck, whom we know as “Jerome”:
"I am writing all of you with joy and lots
of praises to our good lord......Many thanks to St. John's for their relentless support to
ASODI and many thanks to God for listening to the cry of the orphans of Ngie.
I am so proud of the St. John's
and I hope God will replenish all what they spend for these orphans a hundred
fold. I am so happy and overwhelmed with this great achievement of ours. May
the Lord be greatly praised. This I see as another major step ahead for us
all. Be richly blessed."
So, thank you, thank you, thank you!
We have 10 orphans left to be sponsored from
the first group of pictures we received from Jerome. We will be getting more
photos from him soon and will be setting up a booth at St. John's in December to try to get more
sponsors. If you have friends or family that would like to sponsor a child,
then please send them our way! You can just reply to this email, and we will
get them set up with a child.

WRITE THOSE
LETTERS:
Thanks to those of you who have written your
sponsored child! The kids love hearing from you and will eventually write
back (sometimes it takes awhile due to their slower processing systems).
Please keep writing as much as you can. You are creating a relationship with
your child that will never be forgotten!
PRAY:
Remember to pray for your sponsored orphan on a regular
basis. We might not be right there beside them to offer comfort and peace but
God is there with them so make sure to pray that your orphan feels God's
presence.
